Vanuatu Seismic Activity

Over the last week, we’ve watched a buildup of a major sub sea quake activity near the island of Vanuatu in the South Pacific. It is part of an ongoing swarm just due East of the North New Hebrides Trench. The latest quake was so strong, it triggered a Tsunami alert which was subsequently canceled.
